Located along Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, the Sigma Building is home to Waggonner Engineering. Haas Landscape Studio was brought in to update the property’s landscape while creating a precedent for green infrastructure that captures and manages runoff from Airline Highway.

The design uses a large bioswale, permeable limestone surfaces, and layered plantings native to Louisiana to manage stormwater while bringing softness, seasonal movement, and a strong sense of place to the site. Designed without permanent irrigation, the landscape demonstrates how resilient native planting and thoughtful stormwater management can transform a highly visible commercial property.
